(RTTNews) - Chace Crawford has struck a deal in his marijuana possession case.
The "Gossip Girl" actor—who was arrested in Plano, Texas last year after police found under two ounces of marijuana in a clear plastic baggie in the car where he was sitting and preparing a joint—will have his record wiped clean if he can comply with a pretrial diversion program, according to reports by TMZ.Crawford, who attended his court appearance in a pair of jeans and flip flops, will be required to perform 24 hours of community service and report to a probation officer monthly. He also cannot engage in any criminal conduct (or be arrested) for a year.
Crawford will perform his community service over the summer, revealed sources close to the actor to TMZ.
His arrest last year was a surprise to his family, with a source near him telling US Weekly that "his mom called him crying [when the arrest was made public]. He comes from a very good family, and his parents were so upset that his mugshot was everywhere."
